After two derby wins, Union Rennes heads to Tarbes Lourdes for an eagerly awaited duel at the top of the National 1 championship, Friday 30 October at 8 p.m.
Union Rennes continues its season with a tricky trip. On Friday 30 October at 8 p.m., the Rennes side will face Tarbes Lourdes in a top-of-the-table match. A contest that promises to be hard-fought between two teams with clear ambitions.
The Rennais arrive on a positive run. They have just won two derbies, against Fougères and then Vitré. These successes have confirmed the group's good form and put Union in an interesting position in the standings.
The challenge, however, is of a different nature. Tarbes Lourdes also operate in the upper part of the hierarchy. This clash could have direct consequences for the rest of the season. Consistency will be a key factor for the Rennais, who must confirm their upturn away from home.
The Rennes coaching staff has no doubt stressed the need to maintain the same level of demand. In a championship as competitive as National 1, every game is a test. This trip to the Hautes-Pyrénées will serve as a full-scale test to measure the team's ambitions.
So the date is set for this fixture, which promises a solid contest. Union Rennes will try to extend their run and prove they belong at the top of the table.
