Cédric Doumbè will return to the ring on December 24 against Jake Paul in a boxing match in Dubai.
Cédric Doumbè, a prominent figure in French MMA, is set to make his return to combat sports on December 24. He will face American Jake Paul in a boxing match scheduled to take place in Dubai.
Doumbè has not competed since May 2024, when he secured a victory over Jaleel Willis in an MMA bout in Paris. That fight was part of his ongoing career in mixed martial arts, where he has built a reputation as an explosive striker.
The upcoming bout marks a departure from his usual discipline, as he will step into the boxing ring against Paul, who first gained fame as a YouTuber before turning to professional boxing. Paul has since become a regular presence in the sport, facing a variety of opponents.
The choice of date and location adds a distinctive element to the event. Christmas Eve is not a typical night for major boxing cards, and Dubai has increasingly served as a host for high-profile combat sports events in recent years.
Details regarding the weight class, undercard, and broadcasting arrangements have not yet been disclosed. Both fighters will be expected to confirm these elements in the lead-up to the bout.
For Doumbè, this fight represents an opportunity to compete again on a significant stage. For Paul, it is another chance to test himself against a seasoned striker. The event is likely to attract considerable attention from fans of both boxing and MMA.
