The Dogs de Cholet confirm their rise in form this season despite another disappointment. Sunday, October 28, the Cholet side fell in overtime against the fourth-placed team (3-4), putting in an encouraging performance that hints at better days ahead.
The match unfolded in a special atmosphere at Glisséo, where the solidarity evening dedicated to Pink October brought together a large and generous crowd. The players responded on the ice, delivering their best performance of the season against a higher-ranked opponent.
For much of the game, the Dogs went toe-to-toe with their opponents, creating danger and putting a supposedly superior team on the back foot. Overtime proved decisive, but the quality of the performance offers reasons for satisfaction for the coaching staff and supporters alike.
This narrow defeat represents a blow to the morale of a team still searching for their first championship victory. The Cholet players demonstrated they have the quality to compete with the best teams in the division—now they just need that little extra something to turn these promising performances into wins.
The upcoming schedule looks crucial for the Dogs, who will need to build on this solid showing to finally kickstart their season. Supporters can legitimately hope to see their team break their duck in the coming weeks.
