Three-year-old gallopers will line up in the listed race to be run this afternoon at Deauville-La Touques racecourse.
Deauville-La Touques racecourse presents this afternoon a listed race for three-year-old colts and fillies, the Prix du Château de Tocqueville, due off at 5:13pm.
This contest, run over 1900 metres on the turf, attracts as every year a homogeneous bunch of horses seeking to confirm their worth at this level of the hierarchy.
The runners have been inspected by the stewards of the French Galop Federation and all engagements have been confirmed. The weather forecast for the Cauchois region this afternoon points to a soft ground, favourable to horses capable of travelling in the rhythm.
The professionals expected at the weighing room this afternoon will have to contend with a field of competitors where experience in Listed race competition could make the difference. The first starting gate will be cleared in real time and the results will be announced as soon as the race is decided.
