Nicolas David claimed a fourth consecutive victory at the Souvenir Bébert Mellouet cyclo-cross in Pencran.
The Souvenir Bébert Mellouet cyclo-cross, held in Pencran, has once again crowned the same rider. Nicolas David, from Ergué-Gabéric, crossed the line first on 31 October 2026, adding a fourth success in this event to his record.
This victory extends an impressive run for David, who had already won the previous three editions of the race. The 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions all ended with the same winner, making this year's result a continuation of his dominance on the Pencran course.
The Souvenir Bébert Mellouet is a regular fixture in the local cyclo-cross calendar. It attracts riders from the region and provides an early-season test for those preparing for the main winter races. The event also honours the memory of Bébert Mellouet, a figure associated with the sport in the area.
David's performance this year will reinforce his status as one of the riders to watch in the ongoing cyclo-cross season. While the race itself is a standalone meeting, his consistent results at Pencran demonstrate a strong command of the course and good early-season form.
Organisers and spectators at Pencran witnessed another familiar outcome, with David once again taking the honours. The coming weeks will show whether he can carry this momentum into other regional and national cyclo-cross events.
