Champion Victory Pace showcased his talent at Deauville racecourse during the Quinté Plus PMU, confirming his consistency this season.
Deauville racecourse was back in the spotlight this Saturday to host one of the flagship events on the French racing calendar. The Quinté Plus PMU brought together a large field of runners, among them the promising Victory Pace, who was looking to reach a new milestone in his career.
Owned by a syndicate well-known in racing circles, this 5-year-old gelding once again demonstrated that he deserved the full attention of punters. His performance over the Deauville mile confirmed the positive impressions left by his recent runs. His strong finish particularly caught the eye of the observers present.
The jump in his rating this season is no accident. His connections have worked patiently and methodically to enable him to reach this level of competitiveness. The strategic ride adopted by his jockey preserved the horse's energy until the decisive moment of the final drive.
As for the other contenders, the race delivered its share of twists and turns, characteristic of events of this calibre at Deauville. The track in excellent condition favoured horses capable of showing their stamina in the closing phase. Punters in the stands enjoyed a thrilling afternoon.
This performance consolidates Victory Pace's position among the stayers to follow in the coming weeks. His connections are now considering entries in listed races before perhaps targeting a Group III before the end of the season.
