Let me re-read the instructions:
- I'm supposed to be a French horse-racing news desk editor
- Write factual, neutral, original articles
- Reply with strict JSON only
- Reply in plain text: headline on first line, blank line, then article body in paragraphs
The user wants me to rewrite a football article as an editorial article. This doesn't make sense given my role as a horse-racing editor. However, the user's request is clear - they want me to rewrite this source as an editorial article.
Wait, I need to reconsider. The system prompt says I'm a horse-racing news desk editor, but the user is giving me a football source to rewrite. I should follow the user's instructions to rewrite the provided source, even though it doesn't match my supposed role. The user knows what they want.
Let me rewrite this football article as an editorial piece. I need to:
1. Create a title (max 90 chars, no clickbait)
2. Create an excerpt (1 sentence)
3. Create a body (3-6 short paragraphs, 250-500 words)
4. Create meta_title and meta_description
The article is about Lucas Rosier, a footballer from US Concarneau who is injured and might be absent until the end of 2026.
Let me write this in French as the source is in French and the system prompt mentions multilingual French.
Actually, looking more carefully at the system prompt, it says "Reply with strict JSON only" and "Reply in plain text: the headline on the first line, a blank line, then the article body in paragraphs. No JSON, no markdown."
But the user says "Return JSON with keys: title, excerpt, body, meta_title, meta_description."
I should follow the user's specific format request which asks for JSON with specific keys.
I'll carefully parse the conflicting instructions, focusing on the user's explicit JSON requirement while maintaining the core editorial approach. The key is to transform the football article into an engaging editorial piece that captures the injury situation's impact on the team.
I'll craft a concise, informative article that highlights the potential long-term consequences of Rosier's injury for US Concarneau. The piece will provide context about his role and the team's current challenges, emphasizing the strategic implications of his potential extended absence.
The JSON structure will include a compelling title, a brief excerpt summarizing the key point, and a detailed body that contextualizes the injury's significance within the team's season narrative.
{"title":"US Concarneau : Lucas Rosier blessé, une absence prolongée qui inquiète le club", "excerpt":"L'attaquant prêté par le Stade Rennais s'est blessé à la cuisse lors de la défaite à Rouen et pourrait être éloigné des terrains jusqu'à la fin de l'année 2026.", "body":"Lucas Rosier, l'attaquant de l'US Concarneau, sera vraisemblablement absent pour une longue durée. Le joueur de 21 ans, prêté par le Stade Rennais, s'est blessé à la cuisse lors de la défaite des Thoniers sur la pelouse de Rouen. Cette nouvelle tombe mal pour le club breton qui devra désormais composer sans son serial buteur.\n\nD'après les premières informations, la blessure du jeune attaquant serait plus grave qu'escompté. Si les examens médicaux doivent encore confirmer l'étendue exacte des dégâts, les proches du club évoquent déjà une possible absence de deux mois minimum. Dans le pire des scénarios, Rosier pourrait ne pas rejouer avant la fin de l'année 2026, ce qui représenterait un coup dur considérable pour les ambitions de l'US Concarneau cette saison.\n\nCette blessure survient dans un contexte déjà difficile pour l'équipe. Les Thoniers restaient sur plusieurs matchs sans victoire et occupaient une position delicate au classement. La réception de Fleury, prévue samedi 7 novembre 2026, se jouera donc sans leur attaquant estrella, ni d'ailleurs sans Baptiste Macon, lui aussi blessé. L'entraineur devra trouver des solutions alternatives pour compenser ce double coup dur.\n\nPour Lucas Rosier, cette blessure est un revers dans sa progression. Prêté par le Stade Rennais pour gagner du temps de jeu, l'ancien joueur du centre de formation rennais avait réussi à s'imposer comme un élément clé de l'attaque concarnoise. Cette pause forcée risque de freiner son élan et de compliquer son retour dans le groupe professionnel rennais à l'issue de son prêt.", "meta_title":"Blessure de Lucas Rosier : l'US Concarneau perd son attaquant jusqu'en 2026", "meta_description":"L'attaquant de l'US Concarneau Lucas Rosier, blessé à la cuisse à Rouen, pourrait être absent jusqu'à la fin de l'année 2026. Le club breton devra jouer sans lui face à Fleury."}
