When tiring near the 550m, Raykir (Szczepan Mazur) was eased to avoid the heels of GANNAS, which shifted in away from DEIRA STORM, despite the riders’ efforts. Szczepan Mazur explained that after obtaining the lead in the early stages, Raykir raced too keenly for some distance thereafter and proved difficult to settle, he said that RAYKIR came under pressure from the 600m and weakened noticeably in the straight, he added that the gelding’s racing manners had adversely affected its performance and that RAYKIR may not have been suited to the sand surface, on which it was racing for the first time. A post-race veterinary examination of Raykir revealed no apparent abnormalities. Sooraym (Youssef Lachhab ) commenced only fairly.Sooraym (Youssef Lachhab ) contacted at the start.Near the 1150m, Sooraym (Youssef Lachhab ) lay in and contacted the hindquarter of HIGH APPROVAL, became unbalanced and shifted out, inconveniencing DEIRA STORM and LIGHTNING STONE.Sooraym (Youssef Lachhab ) hung in for the majority of the straight and proved difficult to be placed under pressure over the concluding stages. When being post- race sampled, SOORAYM, which was experiencing a poor post-race recovery, briefly collapsed. Near the 1500m, DARK SOVEREIGN, which was racing keenly, had to be restrained to avoid the heels of LIGHTNING STONE, which was inconvenienced and carried in slightly by GANNAS (Faleh Bughenaim).Faleh Bughenaim was severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances to provide sufficient clearance. Rule 58 (iv).Marco Casamento’s whip action passing the 300m was brought to his attention. SOORAYM and HIGH APPROVAL contacted at the start.Near 1150m, High Approval (Arnaud De Lepine) contacted on its hindquarters.
