Privacy Policy

The short version

Our tools run entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store or sell the text, files or data you process with them. This page explains the small exceptions: cookies, analytics and advertising, which are standard for websites like ours.

Information we collect

• Tool usage counts. When you open a tool, we record an anonymous counter (which tool, how many times). This powers our “Popular tools” ranking. No personal data is attached.
• Search queries. When you search our site, we store the search term in aggregate so we can improve our catalog. Terms are stored without IP addresses or other identifiers.
• Newsletter emails. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying or contacting us.
• Contact messages. If you contact us, we store the details you submit so we can reply.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

• Theme preference — remembers light/dark mode.
• Consent choices — remembers your cookie consent decision (stored for 180 days).
• Third-party advertising cookies — served by our advertising partner (see below).

For visitors in the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the UK, advertising cookies are only set after you accept the consent banner. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set and no ads are shown. The consent decision itself is stored as a strictly necessary cookie so we can remember your choice. You can change your decision at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Advertising

We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Analytics

We do not currently run third-party analytics scripts. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this page.

Your data, your control (GDPR & CCPA)

• You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing [email protected].
• You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the past.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriptions and contact messages are kept until you ask us to remove them. Aggregate tool-usage counters are retained indefinitely as anonymous statistics.

Children's privacy

LahbabiGuide is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
